Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Vivid DNA ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit vividdna.com or purchase our products.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Order information — name, email, phone, billing and shipping addresses;
  • Account information — login credentials and preferences, if you create an account;
  • Payment information — processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers;
  • Communications — messages you send us via email, contact forms, or support requests;
  • Research affiliation — where we request documentation to verify eligibility.

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and operating system;
  • Pages viewed, referring URLs, and time spent on the site;
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see below).

How we use information

  • To process, fulfil, and ship your orders;
  • To communicate about orders, shipping, and support requests;
  • To verify purchaser eligibility and prevent fraud or prohibited use;
  • To improve our site, products, and customer experience;
  • To send marketing communications where you have opted in (you may unsubscribe at any time);
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

Cookies and site storage

We use browser storage only to keep your cart and session working and to remember preferences between visits. That data stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us.

Referral links. If you arrive through a partner's referral link, we set one first-party cookie holding that partner's referral code for 30 days. It lets us credit the partner and apply any referral discount at checkout. It contains the partner's code only, nothing about you, and it is read only by us. We count visits through each link as a daily total; we do not record who clicked.

Age confirmation and bot check. When you confirm you are 21 or older, your browser remembers that answer for 30 days so you are not asked on every visit. The confirmation includes a check by Cloudflare Turnstile, a security service that looks at technical signals from your browser to tell people from automated bots; it does not use them for advertising. Passing it sets one first-party cookie for 30 days, which our checkout requires before an order can be placed. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how Turnstile handles that data.

Visit counts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they view. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not follow you across other sites. It gives us totals only, such as pages viewed, the site that referred the visit, country, and device or browser type, never who you are.

We do not run advertising pixels or any cross-site tracking. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we have nothing to share with advertising networks because we do not collect it. You can clear the storage described above through your browser settings, though doing so will empty your cart.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers — payment processors, shipping carriers, hosting providers, and email services, each acting on our instructions;
  • Legal and safety — where required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others;
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

If you order through a partner's referral link, that partner can see the date, status and amount of the order so they can confirm their commission. They never see your name, contact details, address, or what you bought.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described here, including satisfying legal, accounting, and reporting requirements. Order and lot-traceability records may be retained longer where required for regulatory or product-traceability purposes.

Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of marketing, and to opt out of certain sharing. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.

Children

Our site and products are not directed to anyone under 21. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Where we operate

We are based in the United States, process information there, and ship within the United States only.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date, and where required we will provide additional notice.
