GHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine (GHK). GHK occurs naturally in human plasma, saliva and urine, and has a high affinity for copper ions, which it is thought to help deliver to tissues. Plasma levels of GHK fall with age, one reason it attracts interest in ageing research.
In laboratory and preclinical work GHK-Cu is studied for stimulating collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, remodelling of the extracellular matrix, wound-healing models and changes in gene expression linked to tissue repair and antioxidant defence. It is also a component of the KLOW blend.

GHK-Cu is the copper complex of the tripeptide GHK, used in laboratory research on collagen synthesis, skin remodelling and tissue repair.
The copper ion bound in the complex gives GHK-Cu its characteristic blue colour, both as a powder and once reconstituted.
