Steroidogenesis
Testosterone and oestrogen production by gonadal cells.
Human chorionic gonadotropin · hCG · LH / CG receptor agonist
A glycoprotein hormone that acts at the luteinising hormone / choriogonadotropin receptor, used in reproductive endocrinology research.
Any 5 vials take 15% off the whole order. Mix compounds and sizes; applied automatically at checkout.
For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a glycoprotein hormone made of an alpha subunit, shared with LH, FSH and TSH, and a hormone-specific beta subunit. It binds the same receptor as luteinising hormone, the LH / CG receptor, which drives steroid hormone production in the gonads.
Because it activates the LH / CG receptor with a longer half-life than LH, hCG is used in research on gonadal steroidogenesis, Leydig- and granulosa-cell function, ovulation models and gonadotropin receptor signalling. It is supplied here as 10,000 IU of lyophilized powder.

HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is a glycoprotein hormone that activates the LH / CG receptor, used in laboratory reproductive-endocrinology research.
Glycoprotein hormones are standardised by biological activity, so HCG is labelled in international units (IU) rather than milligrams.
