Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a coenzyme found in every living cell. It shuttles electrons in the redox reactions of glycolysis, the citric acid cycle and oxidative phosphorylation, and it is consumed as a substrate by sirtuins, PARPs and CD38, enzymes involved in gene regulation, DNA repair and signalling.
Cellular NAD+ levels decline with age in many model systems, which has made NAD+ a focus of research into mitochondrial function, metabolic regulation and cellular senescence. Researchers use it to study NAD+ metabolism directly and alongside precursors and pathway modulators such as 5-Amino-1MQ.

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme involved in cellular energy production and a substrate for sirtuin and PARP enzymes. It is used here for laboratory research.
NAD+ levels fall with age in many model organisms, so researchers study how that decline relates to mitochondrial function and cellular senescence.
